AWR Anniversary Marks 10 Years of Innovation and Customer Service
This December, AWR® is celebrating 10 years of serving customers with innovative products and outstanding customer support. On December 10th, 1997, AWR began servicing its first customer, Northrop Grumman, with one seat of Microwave Office®. To date, this location of Northrop Grumman (and others), along with several thousand more users, constitutes AWR's loyal customer base.
Since 1997, we've continually improved our flagship product, Microwave Office, with exciting new technologies in order to streamline the design process and increase the productivity of our customers. At the same time, we've also grown our entire product portfolio to embrace a broader range of microwave/RF designs like RFICs with Analog Office®, communication systems with Visual System Simulator™ (VSS), and high-speed designs with our SI™ signal integrity design suite. And more recently, we've introduced a breakthrough new 3D planar, high-frequency, electromagnetic simulator called AXIEM™ (read more below).
But what's more satisfying is that throughout our 10 years of growth and innovation, we've seen our customer base go global (check out our new Taiwanese >> and Chinese >> web pages) and the use of our products expand substantially. Probably the most rewarding highlight of our journey over the past decade is the customer loyalty we've earned. That's really why we are celebrating this anniversary. You are the reason we exist, grow, thrive, and enjoy tremendously what we do. We appreciate your confidence in our company and our software.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy reading this issue that's dedicated to you, our customer.
Sherry Hess, Vice President of Marketing, AWR

Introducing AXIEM: breakthrough EM technology that will revolutionize your design flow
AWR's new AXIEM software is an innovative and unprecedented design tool that, for the first time, delivers EM analysis as a true upfront design technology, where it benefits designers most by helping to diagnose issues early, thereby significantly shortening the design process. The AXIEM product was developed specifically for 3D planar applications such as RF PCBs and modules, LTCC, MMIC, and RFIC designs, which are the heart of today's electronic designs.
