AWR Intern Spotlight:
Kristine’s quick tips for
students on the go!

KristineWelcome to the inaugural issue of AWR’s University Newsletter. My name is Kristine, an undergraduate EE student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and I have been interning at AWR for a few months now. My directive has been and will continue to be to create resources specifically for university students and faculty who are users of AWR software.

Being a student myself, I know what dilemmas these users face when using AWR software. So, this newsletter is just one way for AWR to better deliver information to you and help you stay up-to-date on the many resources that AWR has created specifically for students and universities.

It’s late and my homework is due in only a few more hours. What am I to do? I’m finally sitting down with my laptop trying to wrap up a simulation but it’s just not looking right to me. Too late to call a professor to ask for help, the software’s help file is not making sense to me and Google search returns too many options and/or general websites to be of use.  “Why can’t there be one website specifically for academic user based questions?”

Well, now there is!
Bookmark this page:  AWR University Wiki. AWR has created the AWR University Wiki as a knowledge site specifically for students and professors who use AWR software. The AWR University Wiki contains tips and tricks on how to use the software, solutions to software questions, a student forum, and more.

I hope you use, enjoy and contribute to this great university resource.

University Success!
University of Colorado has been using AWR software in its graduate classes for many semesters now and with good results. Dr. Zoya Popovic: “I found the ease with which the students learned the software rather remarkable. They attended a single AWR training class and got great help from an AWR applications engineer along the way, but otherwise they were on their own. And they did it.” Read more about Dr. Popovic and her students at the University of Colorado at

TX Line iPhone app
The TX Line calculator became even easier to use! This past summer, Alex Collins designed an iPhone app for the AWR’s popular PC-based TX-Line calculator. The new app is free to download at the Apple store
