HSPICE

HSPICE is the industry’s “gold standard” for accurate circuit simulation. As the only OEM supplier of HSPICE, AWR incorporates it into the AWR design environment for convenient access. The same circuit schematic can be used as input to any integrated simulator, and the same graph can display results from any simulator for comparison. Likewise, the optimizer and tuner are available for use with integrated simulators.

The HSPICE integration also includes the extensive library of highly accurate AWR frequency domain models. AWR uses a sophisticated rational approximation technique to create accurate equivalent models that HSPICE can simulate in the time domain robustly and efficiently. IBIS, compiled Verilog, and encrypted HSPICE models can also be imported into AWR design environment for simulation with HSPICE.
