AWR Boosts Asia Pacific Sales Reach

Leading test and measurement manufacturer provides expanded sales channel for AWR products in China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - December 22, 2008 - AWR, the innovation leader in high-frequency design software, today expanded its relationship with Rohde & Schwarz, one of the world's leading test equipment manufacturers, to provide expanded sales channels for AWR products such as Microwave Office® in China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. The expanded sales distribution partnership will boost AWR's presence and the use of its software in the Asia Pacific region, and takes effect immediately.

The two companies recently announced a similar agreement in Japan, and the expanded partnership announced today further strengthens this relationship. Like the earlier agreements, the partnership in China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia, calls for AWR software and Rohde & Schwarz test equipment to be combined to produce customized simulation and measurement solutions for applications ranging from component characterization through sub-system and system verification.

In China, Rohde & Schwarz will share distribution responsibilities with ViRe Technologies, which joined AWR earlier this year as a value-added reseller. Headquartered in Beijing and serving all of China, ViRe sells, supports, trains, and consults for AWR's electronic design automation (EDA) products.  In Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia, Rohde & Schwarz will be the primary sales channel for AWR.
