Bristol University Success Story Shows How Students Quickly Adapt to Microwave Office® Software
El Segundo, CA - September 6, 2011
What:
After introducing his students to AWR's Microwave Office software, Dr. Francesco Fornetti, Researcher and Professor at the University of Bristol's (UK) Center for Communications Research, commented, "the students completed graduate-level simulation tasks with time to spare, leaving them ample time to design, tune and optimize circuit performance." The RF & Microwave Engineering unit that Professor Fornetti oversaw included a simulation laboratory (2 three-hour sessions) designed to familiarize students with matching networks and RF amplifiers. Immediately after replacing the legacy tool installed with Microwave Office software, the students quickly adapted and found that they only needed the first three-hour session to complete the lab as well as felt confident enough to use the software's unique tuning tool for further design exploration.
