CHRIS PARIS – Director of European Operations

Chris Paris, who joined AWR in 2003 to manage the company's European operations, is a well known figure in the European RF and microwave field. He brings with him twenty years' experience in sales and marketing management within the EDA, wireless communication systems, and test and measurement industry segments.

Chris graduated with a B.Eng in electronic engineering from Leeds University in 1985 and worked initially as a design engineer with Ferranti Microwave Systems before moving to Marconi Instruments as an account manager, providing test and measurement solutions to the communications and defense markets.

In 1991 Chris joined EEsof, Inc. as United Kingdom country manager, and later rejoined Marconi Instruments, where he served as general sales manager for the Instruments Division for four years before taking a sales director position at Nera, a leading supplier of point-to-point microwave systems. He then moved to Acterna, the largest test equipment supplier in the telecommunications market, where he served in various international managerial positions, including director of strategic sales and divisional director for the wireless divisions.
