Applications Engineer (Japan – Tokyo and Kansai Areas)

AWR Japan is seeking highly motivated, self-directed top-level RF or microwave design engineers with experience using AWR's Microwave Office design suite or other high-frequency electronic design automation (EDA) tools.

The successful candidate will work closely with sales representatives to help them positively position key products and technologies. You will help develop processes to facilitate the adoption of AWR products and technologies, and work with management to identify and prioritize strategic opportunities and develop winning sales strategies. You will work directly with customers to understand their needs, and will communicate customer requirements and feedback from sales engagements to the development and marketing teams in order to facilitate product improvements and direction.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Microwave Office software (preferred) or of other high-frequency design tools, including background in electromagnetic and circuit simulation theory
• Two to five years' design or field support experience is preferred
• BSEE or equivalent, MSEE preferred
• Must speak English and Japanese

Analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills are important. Applicant must have knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Linux knowledge is desirable. Programming skills including C++ and Visual Basic are highly desired as well.

Compensation:

Competitive base salary and sales commission, stock options, social insurance, damage and health insurances and unemployment insurance are provided.
