Applications Engineer
AWR has an opening for a top-level RF or microwave design engineer with experience using AWR's Microwave Office design suite or other high-frequency electronic design automation (EDA) tools. The successful candidate will conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to customers, including customized presentations as required. You will support technical evaluations/benchmarks and drive the process to deliver AWR solutions, as well as support strategic sales campaigns to generate product bookings at new and existing AWR accounts.
You will work closely with sales representatives to help them positively position key products and technologies. You will help develop processes to facilitate the adoption of AWR products and technologies, and work closely with management to identify and prioritize strategic opportunities and develop winning sales strategies. You will work directly with customers to understand their needs, and will communicate customer requirements and feedback from sales engagements to the development and marketing teams in order to facilitate product improvements and direction. The position includes both domestic and foreign travel.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Microwave Office software, SPICE, and other high-frequency design tools
- Two to five years' hardware design or field support experience is preferred
- BSEE or equivalent, MSEE preferred
