Modeling & Characterization
AMCAD Engineering is a new European provider of RF & Microwave solutions for advanced design. AMCAD uses state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies to provide you a wide range of advanced characterizations (pulsed IV characteristics, CW or pulsed [S] parameters, advanced power load-pull measurements, etc.). These high-precision measurements enable advanced and accurate modeling activities for customer passive and active components that yield accurate simulations and speed your product development.
Auriga Measurement Systems, LLC
Auriga Measurement Systems, LLC is focused on delivering a new standard to the microwave community in the Active/Passive Device Modeling, Characterization Systems, and Manufacturing Test Systems areas. Auriga believes that the close link between measurement science and device physics is critical to improve the current state of device modeling, and that a sound understanding of the basic physics of current active devices is necessary to properly design and implement the measurement systems used to derive device models. Auriga blends these diverse technologies under one organization in line with our intent to lead the industry to a higher modeling and measurement standard.
High Frequency Engineering Sagl provides comprehensive turn-key solutions for linear and nonlinear high-frequency measurements. HFE main capability are cost-effective solutions for every customer measurement needs, giving unrivaled measurement accuracy.
HFE has the most flexible turn-key solution for load-pull and source-pull nonlinear measurements, ranging from low-power on-wafer devices to kW power amplifiers. The HFE RTT Real-Time Tuning system is a modular solution that takes advantage from both passive and active tuners, combining speed, accuracy, flexibility and impressive automatic measurement capabilities, while the overall system calibration takes only few minutes. HFE produces state-of-the-art active tuners, ultra-low-loss directional couplers, and test-set units that are designed both to expand existing load-pull test benches and to provide a modular, cost-effective solution from traditional simple characterizations to the most modern Waveform Non linear VNA applications.
Mesuro's MB Series active load pull solutions offer a modular, turnkey system which enables complete non-linear characterization and design. Mesuro offers a new alternative to traditional VNA based measurement techniques which measure only a single frequency component at a time. The solution takes fully into account that non-linear devices and systems produce spectrally rich signals at baseband, fundamental and harmonic frequencies and enables their simultaneous control to obtain maximum performance from a given technology. The modular approach takes fully into account the diversity of the market spanning small, medium and large power applications offering solutions for markets operating to 20W and 150W.
The Mesuro solution is based on a modern open loop active load pull measurement architecture. This new technique has the ability to overcome many of the nonlinear measurement challenges that designers have struggled with using traditional measurement tools. Improved measurement capability enhances both the device/amplifier design and also the ability to create better models for designers along the different PA development stages.
Modelithics, Inc. provides high accuracy active and passive model libraries for improved first-pass design with AWR Microwave Office. The Modelithics Library for AWR Microwave Office currently includes the CLR Library of highly scalable and accurate models for surface mount RLC components, the NLD Library of non-linear diode models for discrete Schottky, Varactor and PIN diodes, and the NLT Library comprised of a wide range of commercially available low noise to high power transistor models. Each model is carefully documented and extensively validated against linear, non-linear and noise measurement data.
Modelithics also develops customized characterization data and computer models for radio frequency (RF) and microwave (MW) components such as semiconductor devices, RF and microwave integrated circuits (RFICs and MMICs), discrete and monolithic inductors, capacitors, resistors, amplifiers, mixers, filters, etc. The models are reliable parameterized representations that can easily be inserted into the leading computer-aided-engineering (CAE) software tools, such as Microwave Office. Modelithics' characterization and model products help design engineers achieve rapid design success. Test capabilities span from 30 kHz to 110 GHz, and include S-parameters, noise parameters, DC and pulsed IV and load/source pull for power efficiency and intermodulation distortion.
