AWR Releases New Training Schedule for Q2 2010
Date:
April 28, 2010
The Story:
AWR has posted a new training schedule for courses offered in the second quarter of calendar year 2010 that address EM simulation and Microwave Office® design software's advanced features, utilities, and technologies. Training courses are delivered in either a "for fee" classroom (student/instructor) setting or on-line, no-fee, web-based session.
All training offered by AWR is developed and delivered by Dr. John Dunn, senior engineering consultant at AWR, responsible for classroom training, on-line learning and university program development. Dr. Dunn's areas of expertise include electromagnetic modeling and simulation for high-speed/high-frequency circuit applications.
Classroom Schedule:
This 2-day course is for those who want to improve their understanding of electromagnetic (EM) simulation tools and how best to apply them to everyday design problems. The course emphasizes 3D planar simulators and includes examples from AWR's AXIEM™ and EMSight™ tools.
This 3-day course is ideal for those who want to harness the power of the advanced features within Microwave Office, including customization of the software to meet user specific needs. The course is segmented into four major sections: user environment, circuit simulation, layout, and EM simulation/extraction.
Online Class:
This "on-demand" presentation is a rebroadcast from a prior three-hour live tutorial talk given by Dr. Dunn at the DesignCon 2010 conference in Santa Clara, California this past February.
This EM on-demand tutorial includes:
-
An Overview of EM Simulation for Signal Integrity
-
How a Planar Simulator Works
-
Solving the Matrix and Predictions of Future Capabilities
-
Fast, Iterative Methods for Planar Solvers
-
Issues When Using an Iterative Solver
-
The Finite Element Method and Parallel Processing
-
Fast Frequency Sweeping and S Parameter Extraction
